Layflat hose is a type of flexible hose made of reinforced synthetic rubber. This hose comes in various sizes and can be used for a variety of applications, such as irrigation, industrial, construction, and mining. It has high durability and is resistant to abrasion, tear, and puncture. The inner core of the hose contains a woven nylon fabric that prevents water from seeping through the walls of the hose. Layflat hose is lightweight and very easy to transport and store. Additionally, it is designed to resist cracking or tearing and can handle high pressures without damaging the hose. This makes it ideal for many industrial jobs requiring heavy-duty flexible hose connections.
Advantages
It is completely flat when there is no water, and it is easy to roll into a roll. The volume is only 1/10 of the traditional round tube, which is convenient for transportation and storage.
And because of its light weight, the flat hose can be laid by one person, which is suitable for long distances or narrow areas.
It automatically expands and forms after filling with water, and immediately returns to flatness after drainage, with extremely high recycling efficiency.
Anti-ultraviolet & weather resistance: It is not easy to age when used outdoors for a long time, and it can adapt to high temperature, low temperature and humid environment.
Wear-resistant and puncture-resistant: It can be used on rough ground such as gravel and shrubs.

1. PVC Layflat Hose
Material characteristics
● Main material: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) + polyester fiber reinforcement layer
● Hardness: Medium, flexible and curlable
● Temperature range: -10°C ~ +60°C (partial modification can reach -20°C ~ +70°C)
Advantages
✅ Lightweight: more than 50% lighter than rubber hose, easy to carry.
✅ Low cost: the lowest price, suitable for applications with limited budget.
✅ Chemical corrosion resistance: resistant to weak acid, alkali, and salt water, suitable for agricultural irrigation.
✅ UV resistance: not easy to age when used outdoors (UV stabilizer needs to be added).
✅ Easy to clean: the inner wall is smooth, not easy to accumulate dirt, suitable for water delivery.
Rubber Layflat Hose
Material characteristics
● Main material: Synthetic rubber (such as SBR, NBR) + high-strength fiber/steel wire reinforcement
● Hardness: Relatively high, but more flexible than PVC
● Temperature range: -30°C ~ +90°C
Advantages
✅ Super durability: wear-resistant, tear-resistant, suitable for rough surfaces (such as mines, construction sites).
✅ High and low temperature resistance: stable performance in extreme environments (cold areas or high-temperature liquid transportation).
✅ Oil & solvent resistance: suitable for transporting fuel, lubricating oil, etc. (specific rubber formula required).
✅ Strong pressure resistance: usually 15~30 bar, suitable for high-pressure firefighting or industrial use.
3. TPU Flat Hose
Material characteristics
● Main material: Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) + high-tension fiber braided layer
● Hardness: High elasticity, strong deformation resistance
● Temperature range: -40°C ~ +100°C
Advantages
✅ Ultra-high wear resistance: The wear resistance is 10 times that of PVC and 3 times that of rubber, suitable for harsh environments.
✅ No plasticizer: Environmentally friendly and non-toxic, in line with food/medical grade standards (can be used for drinking water).
✅ Antimicrobial: The inner wall is antibacterial, suitable for long-term water delivery (such as aquaculture).
✅ Flexible and antifreeze: Remains soft at low temperatures and is not easy to crack.

Seeking economy → Choose PVC flat hose (ordinary agriculture, temporary drainage).
Extreme environment/high pressure → Choose rubber flat hose (firefighting, oil fields, mines).
High-end durable & environmentally friendly → Choose TPU flat hose (food processing, low temperature environment, long-term use).
